To start the evening, there was a short presentation. Mayor Matt Brown brought us greetings from the city.
London and Middlesex Local Immigration Partnership Project Manager, Huda Hussein told us a little about about what the LMLIP is and what it does.
Inclusion and Civic Engagement Sub-Council Chair, Rose Aquino spoke briefly about how the campaign fits into the broader goals of the ICE sub-council.
Campaign Coordinator, Kelly Barnes, talked about what I am London is and what the goals are for the campaign.

It was so great for all of our Faces of London, members of the LMLIP, and other guests to meet each other, but also get to mingle with Mayor Matt Brown, Deputy Mayor Paul Hubert, and Councillor Mo Salih. The mood in the room was very cheerful and happy. There was so much good conversation and laughing that we had a hard time quieting people down, to start the program. Maybe the best indication that the night was a success, an I am London selfie!
